Over the recent half-term break the Pedagogues enjoyed a great couple of days at Burnham & Berrow GC, including our annual fixture on the Championship Course and a practice day on the newly drained Channel Course.
Thanks, as ever, to Match Manager Roger Brierly for organising everything so well – including the result which made it even more enjoyable!
In case you hadn’t realised from that comment, we managed to win 3.5 vs 2.5 but in a very unusual way with 5 matches halved and Clare & Roger winning their match.

Unbelievably Andy & Peter who played together only realised on the 18th green that they were in the same year at St Lukes, Exeter all those years ago. As a Loughborough man myself it merely cements what I though of St Luke’s boys anyway 😊
Despite their loss and out for revenge, no doubt, Burnham & Berrow have confirmed the dates for 2027 as Tuesday 16 & Wednesday 17 February – so make a note if you wish to make yourself available to play one of the finest links courses in England and certainly one of the best in winter.
